Britney Spears’ marriage to fiancé Sam Asghari was interrupted on Thursday by pop star ex-husband Jason Alexander, confirmed the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in Variety.
Sergeant Cyrus Zadeh said the sheriff’s office was sent to Spears’ residence to investigate an admission complaint, during which they contacted Alexander. After reviewing the records, it was found that Alexander had an order outside the county and was arrested for this crime. Deputies are still on the scene investigating what happened, and will then determine whether to charge Alexander with additional charges in connection with the alleged intrusion.
TMZ was the first to report the news of the entry. Spears married his childhood friend Alexander in 2004. They were married for a total of 55 hours before the marriage was annulled.
Spears and Asghari were engaged in September, shortly before Spears was released from a 13-year conservation battle with her family in November. Her marriage comes shortly after the singer announced in May that she had a miscarriage, after announcing earlier in April that she was pregnant. “Our love for others is our strength,” Spears wrote on Instagram in May. “We will continue to try to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all the support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
Spears and Asghari first met on the set of their 2016 music video for “Slumber Party.” Spears said in a 2017 radio interview that he thought, “‘This guy was really cute,’ so I called him,” adding that “he’s a very funny and funny person.”
Asghari revealed that the date of the wedding had been set in a recent profile on GQ, although he did not have his lips closed on any other details. “Marriage and children are a natural part of a strong relationship full of love and respect,” Asghari wrote on Instagram shortly after Spears announced her pregnancy.
The marriage will be Spears’ third. Her second marriage was to Kevin Federline. They officially divorced in 2007, and the consequences included a long battle for custody of their two children.
“I have always wanted nothing more than the best for my best half,” Asghari told People in February 2021, “and I will continue to support him in pursuing his dreams and creating the future he wants and deserves. “I am grateful for all the love and support you are receiving from your fans around the world, and I look forward to a normal and amazing future together.”
