Platforms ‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’: Will it arrive on PlayStation?
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will actually hit PlayStation consoles. Earlier this year, a report suggested that the next three Call Of Duty titles, including a free “new iteration” of Battle Royale War zone, will still arrive on PlayStation. This is in light of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision.
Is it just next generation?
What is less clear is whether Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will reach older generation consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One. Activision has not commented on this yet, so we’ll have to wait and see if the game is only next-generation / next-gen.

Now for a harder question, is Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a remake? Well, no, not really. Follows 2019 Modern Warfare, which restarted the series directed by Infinity Ward. This game serves as a sequel to this game, so while it may contain characters and plot points from the original, this will be an independent story that aligns with the new series.
