Catherine Reitman’s “Workin ‘Moms” will end next season 7 on CBC, Netflix

Catherine Reitman’s Mother’s Comedy, Workin ‘Moms, will end with its upcoming seventh season.

The daughter of the late Hollywood director Ivan Reitman writes, directs and stars in the sitcom that aired on CBC in Canada in 2017, before Netflix picked up on Canadian imports two years later. Last season will debut on CBC and CBC Gem in the winter of 2023, followed by a Netflix release elsewhere in the world.

Wolf + Rabbit Entertainment is working in Toronto last season, which will consist of 13 half-hour episodes.

Reitman will star again last season alongside Dani Kind, Jessalyn Wanlim, Philip Sternberg, Ryan Belleville, Sarah McVie, Sadie Munroe, Peter Keleghan, Nikki Duval and Enuka Okuma as Sloane Mitchell.

The creator and star also posted a video on Twitter sharing the news, calling the final season “hilarious” and “deeply moving” “love letter” to both fans and her father, who died earlier this year. . The previous season ended with a scare.

Workin ‘Moms is produced by Reitman, Sternberg, Jonathan A. Walker, Tina Horwitz and Joe Sorge. Jessie Gabe and Karen Kicak will present the seventh season and will also act as executive producers.
