A 65-year-old man has been repeatedly punched and kicked in a brutal beating inside a retirement village in the southern suburbs of Perth.
The retiree was found by emergency services bleeding from a serious head injury to his Hamilton Hill home around 7.15pm on Sunday.

Cockburn Police, the Canine Section and the Regional Operations Group had deployed to the Erpingham Road Retirement Complex in “emergency conditions” minutes earlier, following reports of a disturbance and noise from objects broken.

Police say the alleged perpetrators mercilessly punched the victim several times, knocking him to the ground.
From there, he was allegedly kicked in the head repeatedly before his wallet was stolen.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment for a dog bite wound and remains in police custody.

A 19-year-old man from Beaconsfield and a 20-year-old man from Hilton have each been charged with one count of motor vehicle theft and one count of robbery with force.
Police bail has been denied and they are due to appear in Perth court on Monday.
