WA Health reports a total of 2,816 new cases as of 6pm last night. There are currently 24,949 active cases in Western Australia.
As of 6pm yesterday, there were 411 people with COVID-19 in hospital, 13 in ICU.
Unfortunately, today’s report includes one death, which was reported to WA Health yesterday, dating back to July 15, a woman in her 60s.

- This data is based on the residential zip code of each case. The case may have an isolation address in another region.
- The rest of the reported daily cases (66) do not yet have an assigned region. Data will continue to be reconfigured as this information is verified.
Of the 2,816 cases, 804 were confirmed by PCR testing, the remaining 2,012 were self-reported positive antigen rapid tests.
A total of 3,148 PCR tests were carried out yesterday at public or private pathology clinics.
WA has recorded 1,067,731 cases since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
