Wow, wait … What is this new Cannondale bike?
You have to be careful in life when you mix things of different genres. The world could be a better place, as someone dreamed of salted caramel but no one is screaming for a liver meringue cake, right? It can go either way.
What does this have to do with bicycles? Well, Cannondale has just announced the new Moterra Neo EQ, which is an electric city bike derived from its Moterra Neo collection of electronic mountain bikes. Interesting.
“Born in the mountains and raised in the city, he does everything,” Cannondale says. “There is no longer any reason to choose between practice and fun or work and adventure … The Neerra EQ Moterra offers everything you need for urban mobility: it’s a quiet trip to the city and a bike of fun and capable trail. It’s Cannondale’s rugged urban e-SUV. “
The Moterra Neo EQ is built with a RockShox 35 Silver R fork with 150 mm travel; in comparison, the gravel-specific RockShox Rudy Ultimate XPLR fork is available in 30mm and 40mm and 130mm rear travel versions. It’s equipped with a 12-speed Shimano XT / Deore transmission, a telescopic seatpost and fantastic 2.3-inch-wide tires, all straight out of the world of mountain biking.
On the other hand, it also has some decidedly urban features: an integrated rear carrier, full-coverage fenders – which in the civilized world we call fenders – and a footrest. You also get lights that run on the 750 Wh battery that also powers the bike’s Bosch SmartSystem.
The price is £ 5,500.

100% presents the Peter Sagan 2022 limited edition collection
Just before the Tour de France, 100% has unveiled its latest collection of glasses with serial green shirt wearer Peter Sagan, who goes for the TotalEnergies team. The finish is said to be a tie-dye design with the colors of the TotalEnergies logo. Since the TotalEnergies logo is a rainbow theme, this is a fairly open mandate.
The 100% S3, S2 and Speedcraft glasses are included in the Sagan 2022 limited edition collection. All of them are designed as performance glasses instead of casual styles, each with a mirror lens and a clear lens.

Brooks presents the Cambium C17 Special LAB seal
Speaking of limited edition stuff, Brooks has launched its latest label: the Cambium C17 Special LAB.
Brooks says, “The C17 Special Lab features a limited topographic line design along with comfortable driving characteristics for which Cambium is well known.”
We agree that the Cambium C17 is comfortable. When we reviewed it many years ago, we called it “a wonderfully comfortable fusion of classic ideas and modern materials.”

It has the same basic structure as a classic Brooks saddle, but instead of a sheet of leather at the ends of the rails, there is a combination of vulcanized natural rubber, cotton canvas and structural textile for the top.
The C17 Special Lab is priced at £ 120, available only on the Brooks website, compared to £ 105 for a standard C17 finish.

The new Ravemen light incorporates computer support
If you don’t want your handlebars to be cluttered and prefer to keep things tidy, Ravemen launches a FR160 visible daylight that serves as a support for your bike computer.
The FR160 uses high-efficiency COB LEDs (maximum 160 lumens) and a wide-angle lens, and has an attractive flashing mode.
The light is compatible with Garmin and Wahoo computer mounts and works with Garmin, Wahoo and Bryton computers. It has an IPX6 rating, which means that it is protected from powerful water jets and, more specifically, from heavy rains.
The Ravemen FR160 will arrive in the UK in about a month.

Check out Miss Grape’s Mini Cluster chair bag
Miss Grape of Italy has unveiled a chair bag called Mini Cluster which is made of a lightweight and water resistant fabric.
The Mini Cluster has a capacity of 50 cl and a declared weight of only 49 g. Miss Grape says it contains a multi-tool, an inner tube and everything needed for a quick repair or an ultralight windbreaker. It is attached to the chair using Fidlock’s Winch system, so it can be put on and taken off quickly.
Miss Grape says the narrow profile means the Mini Cluster doesn’t interfere with your pedaling or therefore the aerodynamic profile of your bike.
Handmade in Italy and designed for road, gravel and mountain bikes, the Mini Cluster tool bag is priced at € 55 (around £ 47).

Bollé launches C-Shifter glasses
Bollé has introduced new C-Shifter glasses with a half-rim frame made of TR90 nylon that is designed to be light, flexible and comfortable. They follow the trend of providing a great shield for the eyes by using a surrounding cylindrical lens that has been ventilated to prevent fogging.
The nose piece and temple tips are adjustable and use a thermoplastic rubber designed to have more grip in contact with water and sweat.
The C-Shifter is available with the Bollé Volt + lens. The French brand says Volt + “offers a color improvement of over 30% to help you see colors you’ve never perceived before and while maintaining the white balance.”
In addition to improving colors, Bollé ‘says that the Volt + “offers high-contrast vision, improved depth perception and high-performance polarization.”
There are two frame colors available with the Bollé Classic lens for £ 115, while there are four frame colors with the Volt + polarized lens, each priced at £ 145.

The Passione reveals Striver Ultralight clothing for REALLY warm weather
The Passione has launched an evolution of its Striver collection that is designed to look good even if the mercury exceeds 30 ° C, which, admittedly, does not happen too often in the UK.
As its name suggests, Striver Ultralight clothing is made from some of the lightest fabrics out there and is designed for effective dispersion of sweat.
