Dozens of Northern Echo readers have left messages of condolence after the death of a 25-year-old woman.
Natalie Marshall died after the car she was driving veered off the road and collided with a tree near Darlington on Friday.
Her friends and family have been devastated by the tragedy, which has shocked the community.
Many tributes have been left to Natalie, who was described by the family as hardworking and selfless, and as someone who could light up any room she entered.

Flowers, balloons, pictures and messages have been left next to the A167 near Coatham Munderville, where the crash took place around 3.15am on Friday morning.
Another man, about 20 years old, was seriously injured in the collision and was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
