Dame Deborah James visited the Chelsea Flower Show to see a rose that has been named in her honor.
The 40-year-old host of the You, me and the big C podcast visited the flower show with her husband, Sebastien, during an out-of-hours tour on Tuesday.
James, a mother of two, said she hoped the flower would one day appear in her daughter Eloise’s wedding bouquet. White with a light pink center, it was revealed Monday by the World of Roses and Harkness Rose Company, which raised and christened the flower.
It is a floribunda, which produces masses of white flowers and has a subtle center of “pink ballet slipper”. Each sale of the rose will contribute £ 2.50 to the Bowelbabe Fund.
