California Democrat Ro Khanna has criticized President Biden for planning to visit Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and return to his campaign promise to turn Saudi Arabia into a pariah state. In “America Reports” on Thursday, Khanna called President Biden’s “irony” “asking for oil from Saudi Arabia” even though the president exported American oil to other countries, including China.
TUCKER CARLSON: BIDEN MUST BE PROMOTED TO SEND OUR NATURAL ASSETS TO OUR ENEMY CHINA
CZECH REP. KHANNA: First of all, look, the Crown Prince MBS has hacked to death an American journalist … [Jamal] Khashoggi, and there was a legitimate bipartisan outrage. The president introduced himself saying it was going to turn Saudi Arabia into a pariah state, which would not commit to MBS. They are still involved in a brutal war in Yemen. And I don’t think we should go meet with MBS until MBS takes responsibility for the murder of the American journalist and until the war in Yemen ends. But look at the irony. We are going to order oil from Saudi Arabia while we export our own oil all over the world. I mean, it doesn’t make sense. And the Saudis will play us. No, I have no confidence that the Saudis will do something that will really do it lower prices in this country.
