Orillia OPP discovered a large amount of cocaine and cannabis after stopping the vehicle to perform stunts
A driver who caught the attention of the Orillia OPP for speeding now faces several charges along with the passenger of the vehicle.
On July 14, at 8:30 a.m., Orillia OPP officers made a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving stunts. It got worse for the 20-year-old.
Police found cannabis within the driver’s reach, as well as suspected cocaine in the vehicle. During the search, police also located a large amount of cocaine and cannabis in the vehicle.
As a result, police charged 20-year-old Kohl Crawford of Woodville with the following:
- Possession of the substance of list 1: cocaine, CSDA 4 (1)
- Possession of a List 1 substance for the purpose of cocaine trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of crime: less than $ 5,000
- Possession of illicit cannabis (CA)
- Distributing illicit cannabis (CA)
- Driving a motor vehicle: performing stunts: speeding (HTA)
The suspect’s vehicle was detained for 14 days.
Alexis Williams, also 20, of Severn Township, was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of the substance of list 1: cocaine, CSDA 4 (1)
- Possession of a List 1 substance for the purpose of cocaine trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of crime: less than $ 5,000
- Possession of illicit cannabis (CA)
- Distributing illicit cannabis (CA)
Both defendants were released on bail and will appear in Orillia court on August 30, 2022 to answer the charges.
