Former UDA assassin Michael Stone has been spotted in Stormont, where he was previously barred from carrying out a killer attack on Sinn Fein leaders during NI’s centennial celebrations.
The Milltown Cemetery killer, who has spent 27 years behind bars for six sectarian killings here, was one of nearly 100,000 spectators at Saturday’s centennial parade.
Stone listened to the Grand Secretary of the Order of Orange, the Rev. Mervyn Gibson, who called for unity within unionism, while beating U.S. President Joe Biden and U.S. Congressman Richard Neal in his speech.
Major Orange suggested a “compromise” may be needed.
“We do not live in a world as we would like it to be. We live in a world in today’s reality, with its challenges for this generation,” he said.
There was applause and applause as he defended the siege of Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom.
In 2006, Stormont security guard Sue Porter had a pistol, which was later found to be an imitation, on her head while preventing Stone from entering Parliament buildings.
