Google Drive acquires shortcut, copy, and paste shortcuts to various Chrome tabs

Google has announced that support for using keyboard shortcuts to cut, copy, and paste Google Drive files on the web has long been ignored, but only if you access the service using your Chrome browser.

Surprisingly for some, Google Drive on the web has never provided access to clipboard features, despite providing keyboard shortcuts to perform various actions on selected items.

New support for ⌘ + C (or Ctrl + C on PC), ⌘ + X, and ⌘ + V to copy, trim, and paste files from Google Drive should save users time by allowing them to copy one or more files. move them to new locations on Drive (and several Chrome tabs) with fewer clicks.

Google says a link to the file, and its title is now captured when a file is copied, allowing users to paste it into a document or email. Also, copying a file and pressing ⌘ + Shift + V creates shortcuts to organize files in multiple locations without having to create duplicate files.

Finally, Chrome users can now open files or folders in a new tab with ⌘ + Enter, which should make it easier to view multiple files at once, or use different tabs to more easily organize files between two different folder locations.

Earlier this month, Google Docs got an additional new feature that allows users to select multiple sections of text and apply actions such as deleting, copying, pasting, or formatting all selections at once.
