Emergency services safely removed the driver of the trapped truck, a 41-year-old Mernda man, who has been taken to hospital for observation.
Residents and workers within a 500-meter radius that includes Airport West, Gladstone Park, Gowanbrae, Strathmore Heights and Tullamarine have been advised to follow up on emergency services and stay indoors due to product spills. chemicals.
Fire Assistant Craig Brownlie said firefighters expected the cleanup to last most of the day.

About 40 firefighters responded to the crash and Fire Rescue Victoria hazardous materials teams have established an exclusion zone around the spill.
