Police are searching for a stretch of Holderness drain east of Hull this evening (Sunday) and have cordoned off an area of ​​Holderness Road.
Two officers were guarding the entrance to the drained section of the drain between Holderness Road and Saltshouse Road. Two more could be seen wading, looking for water.
A strong police presence was seen in the area, with six police cars parked on Holderness Road. Several police vans parked on the grass bench next to the drain could be seen.

Police officers could be seen on the edge of the ditch. A witness told Hull Live that he had seen a scientific research van. Another man said he had asked officers what was going on, but that they had transferred him.
A series of spectators could be seen watching the search from the bridge over the drain. On Saltshouse Road, the drain was sealed with duct tape with a police guard and a police van.
Humberside police have been contacted for comment. Updates will be posted here as we receive them.
