Passengers traveling to the United States will no longer have to take a Covid test before departure.
The requirement will be removed for air arrivals from Sunday in what has been hailed as a “huge boost for tourism” by the travel industry.
Fully vaccinated arrivals had to show a negative test done no more than 24 hours before departure.
Kevin Munoz, the White House’s deputy press secretary, praised President Biden’s progress with vaccines when he made the announcement.
