Samsung has almost unveiled its next-generation foldables, which means the days of relying on leaks are almost over. The company’s Galaxy Unpacked virtual event will begin on August 10 at 9 am ET / 6 am PT. You can watch it along with us on Samsung’s website or in the YouTube embed below. Samsung will also post all new event details on its newsroom landing page.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked August 2022: Official Live Stream
As we’ve been trained over the years, Samsung’s Unpacked events are when Samsung unwraps its new kit. Everyone is waiting for the next generation Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. The two foldable smartphones are likely to take over from the Galaxy Note with the companion S Pen, this device has been directly replaced by the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is now part of the flagship line from the beginning of the year.
If you’ve been reading along with the rumors, you might know that this year’s foldables are just as interesting as last year’s releases. The Z Flip 4 is a flip-down clamshell device, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be marketed towards multitaskers. But while Samsung was figuring out the look and feel of smartphones the last few years, we’re thinking this year’s launch will be billed as the “upgrade” for people finally curious about the foldable form factor.
Since Samsung’s similarly timed Unpacked event introduced new accessories to the ecosystem last year, there are also rumors that a new Galaxy Watch 5 will join Samsung’s existing generation of wearables alongside with a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro with enhanced health tracking sensors aimed at training athletes. The Galaxy Buds Pro may also make it to the next generation, which would be well in sync with Google’s recently launched Pixel Buds Pro.
