IGN Hollow Knight: Silksong Get a New Trailer, Day 1 on Xbox Game Pass

Finally, after three years of longing for more Hollow Knight, Silksong appeared on today’s Xbox + Bethesda Showcase, but has no release date yet. However, the trailer confirmed that it will be available on the first day on Xbox Game Pass when it arrives on Xbox and PC.

In the new trailer shown today and the first suitable look at the Cherry team’s Insectoid Metroidvania we have had since 2019, with quick shots of the main character, Hornet, fighting the familiar insectoid enemies of Hollow Knight, jumping for lava and more.

Hollow Knight Silksong – Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022

Hollow Knight: Silksong was first unexpectedly announced in February 2019 as the sequel to Hollow Knight, an acclaimed indie Metroidvania set in a realm of sensible bugs. Silksong follows the character of Hornet, an enemy turned ally of the original game, who is captured at the opening of the game and removed from the realm where Hollow Knight takes place.

We tested the game at E3 2019 and found it to be “unmistakably Hollow Knight, but with the speed increased to 11”. In our 9.4 / 10 review, we called the original Hollow Knight “amazing.”

The ad was part of the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase, which includes a closer look at Redfall and more.
