You’re probably taking your iPhone calculator application for granted. Sure, you can use it several times a week, but you don’t really think much about it, do you? Well, this little workhorse can do so much more than you think, from scientific calculations to more hidden functions.
Easily turn it into a scientific calculator

Whenever you have the iPhone rotation lock turned off (which you can do from the Control Center), turn your phone sideways in the Calculator app to access a full scientific calculator app.
Delete numbers by swiping your finger
Okay, well, you probably don’t need a scientific calculator so often, but you’ll probably need to delete unique numbers from time to time – just swipe left or right near the top of the screen to delete a number quickly without having to start your complete calculation.
Quickly clear only the current digits, or all
You will be forgiven if you have never mixed the functionality of the “C” button with the “AC” button. Here’s the difference: if you want to delete the numbers you just typed on the screen, the “C” or (Delete) button will do so without deleting any previous steps. The “All Clear” button, on the other hand, will clear the number you just typed and all the previous steps in the calculations, so you’re starting from the starting point.
Copy and paste master

There are two ways to copy the last result: Press and hold the numbers at the top and tap the “Copy” button, or hold down the Calculator app and then copy the last result directly without even opening the app .
Calculate without the Calculator application
Our latest tip has nothing to do with the Calculator app, but it’s something that every iPhone user should know. As with the Mac, the iPhone has a basic calculation feature built into the search function. This means that you can only make calculations by swiping down on the home screen.
Spotlight allows you to do basic math, but it also includes currency conversion and unit conversion (something not even the Calculator app can do). Oh, and if you don’t feel like writing, you can ask Siri to calculate the results for you.
