Jays select RHP Anderson from the Major League roster

The Toronto Blue Jays made three roster moves Monday before a massive three-game series at the Rogers Center against Boston Red Sox division rival.

The Jays selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Shaun Anderson and fielded right-handed pitcher Jeremy Beasley at Triple-A Buffalo. They also transferred starting pitcher Hyun Jin Ryu, who has finished the year after Tommy John’s surgery, to the 60-day injury list.

Anderson, 27, who was claimed from the exemptions in November, last played in the Seniors in 2021, and played in 16 games with the Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres, with an effectiveness of 8 , 49.

Beasley, 26, has a 6.30 ERA in six relief appearances for the Jays this season.
