Jesy Nelson has parted ways with her record label after a year of working together.
The former Little Mix star, 30, left the girl group leader in December 2020 due to her mental health and the pressure of being in a band, so she started a solo career.
However, the new chapter of his career did not get off to the good start he probably hoped for, as he faced allegations of black fishing.
Jesy vehemently denied the claims and continued to promote her debut single Boyz, which featured Nicki Minaj.
Now, however, reports claim the Essex star has parted company with the Polydor label after they “didn’t agree on new music”.
Polydor, who are home to the likes of Billie Eilish and Sam Fender, confirmed they are no longer working with Jesy in a statement issued to Metro.co.uk.

“Polydor has amicably parted ways with Jesy,” they began.
“We’ve enjoyed working with her and everyone at the label wishes her nothing but the best for the future.”
Meanwhile, music insiders told The Sun that Jesy walked away from her label to make a fresh start. She has since been removed from the label’s website under their talent roster.
“Jesy decided the time was right for her to make a clean break,” they told the network.

“She and the label have gone in different directions in the last few months. And while there haven’t been any setbacks, Jesy just thought it was best to start over now while everyone was still friends.
“Jesy enjoyed her time with Polydor but feels that rather than continuing together while having such different musical ideas for the future, she now wants to be able to fully develop her own ideas as an individual artist.”
A second source added that despite the criticism she’s received, Jesy “loves the music she’s been working on and is very proud of it.”
Following the release of Boyz, which went to number four, she has been “hard at work in LA and is determined to get it out there and make her solo music a success”.
Jesy, who was formerly part of a band with Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, who are now on hiatus, has been keeping fans up to date with her songwriting sessions in the US and has been showing off new releases on their social networks.

But her split from Polydor comes after she was reportedly “sent to the drawing board” after record bosses felt her songs “needed more work”.
He’s been working with a whole host of producers and writers across the pond, including Tayla Parx, who wrote the band’s smash hit, Sweet Melody.
It remains to be seen when his next single will be out or what direction he will go with a label.
Representatives for Jesy have been contacted for comment.
