Former Ohio State quarterback JT Barrett will take the next step in his football career at Michigan.
Barrett has been added to the Lions coaching staff as an offensive assistant.
Barrett, 27, never played in an NFL game, but spent time on the rosters of the Saints, Seahawks and Steelers.
At Ohio State, Barrett was a three-time All-Big Ten quarterback who holds the all-time Big Ten passing touchdowns record with 104. The Buckeyes were 38-6 in 44 games which Barrett started.
