“Listen to this crowd”: the ERPTA Broncos crowd as Haas police make a brutal friendly fire

Broncos fans have booed Payne Haas in stunning scenes at Suncorp Stadium in his first match since calling for the club’s release.

Haas received the first blow of the game against the Titans on Friday night and the Brisbane fans wereted no time in letting the star know how he felt.

Strong explosions rang out around the stadium in what must have been one of the first times in history that a crowd of Broncos has turned against one of their own.

“There’s Payne Haas and he hears this crowd, it’s his home fans who let him know they don’t like what’s happened in the last 24 hours,” Dan Ginnane told Fox League.

It is a crowd of more than 30,000 people and Haas was booed from the moment his face appeared on the big screen during the pre-match warm-up.

Haas had a good try after 13 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.

“I think that could have stopped the boos,” Ginnane said.

“I think that would have put an end to that,” Greg Alexander replied.

“They’re still booing,” Ginnane said after a Haas hit in the 22nd minute.

Haas management dropped a bomb calling for an immediate release Wednesday night, a move the club flatly rejected.

The 22-year-old is signing until the end of 2024 with an agreement for about $ 800,000 a season.

Haas would have more than $ 1 million in the open market, its management demands an upgrade.

They want me to pay $ 1 million this season and next year, and then $ 1.2 million in 2024.

Broncos boss Corey Parker described the situation as “horrible” for Brisbane before the former club captain unloaded at Haas on Thursday night.
