The highest transfer fee paid by Liverpool remains the £ 75m delivered to Southampton by Virgil van Dijk in January 2018. Signing Kane would mean they should double that figure in a very unlikely move.
Kane, who scored 27 goals in all competitions last season, had long intended to leave the Spurs. He pushed on in search of silverware without earning any major honors in his career.
But he seems to have renounced that desire and Champions League football could help the Spurs convince him to stay. The striker has often spoken of enjoying playing with Antonio Conte.
ESPN said in February that the Spurs were willing to extend Kane’s contract to avoid interest. His £ 200,000 a week deal will go into his last two years this summer, giving the player more power if there is interest from other clubs.
