Newfoundland and Labrador Pushup Man returns this summer in support of mental health.
Every year Bill Guiney takes to the streets to walk and do push-ups, raising awareness and funds for mental health along the way.
Last year, Guinea walked from Port aux Basque to Signal Hill, doing ten push-ups for every mile. He got tons of support from people who decided to walk with him and raised money for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
This year, Guinea’s efforts will focus on the Irish loop. You will walk 10 km in 5 different communities in and around your hometown.
Guinea knows that its challenges are important to open a dialogue on mental health and to let people know that they are not the only ones going through it.
Guinea talks about her daughter’s past mental health problems. He goes on to say that if mental health is an open book, no one will feel alone.
