Felix Uduokhai is being targeted by Manchester United, who could be looking for another central defender in the market.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Manchester United are interested in defending FC Augsburg Felix Uduokhai. Although a move has recently been agreed for Lisandro Martinez, the Red Devils are looking forward to another central defense as Erik ten Hag prepares a team to challenge next season.
Manchester United endured a season to forget 2021/22, and their defensive displays were unfortunate. Overall, they only got a sixth-place finish and qualification to the Europa League, which has left fans disappointed.
The arrival of Erik ten Hag as the new coach has brought optimism to the team and the fan base. The Dutchman is known for his attacking style, as everyone expects a change of fortune for the club on the pitch.
Despite the big media talk, Manchester United have been slow to get out of the blocks in the transfer window. They have been behind Frenkie de Jong for two months, although they managed to get Tyrell Malacia to be their first summer recruit, followed by the signing of Christian Eriksen.

They have recently agreed an agreement for Lisandro Martínez, beating Arsenal by the signing of the Argentine international. Despite the imminent arrival of the center, it seems that Manchester United are ready to sign another defender before the start of the season, with Felix Uduokhai of FC Augsburg as a goal.
Uduokhai could be seen as a replacement for Eric Bailly, who could leave the club, with many suitors for the former Villarreal star. Should the Ivorian leave, Manchester United will still have Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof as main defenders, as well as Martínez. But Maguire and Lindelof’s performances over the past have been worrisome.
Therefore, ten Hag could look to add another defender to their ranks, with Uduokhai emerging as a target. The 24-year-old did not have the best season in Augsburg last time, only playing 13 Bundesliga appearances due to injury problems. However, there is no doubt about his quality, as the interest of Manchester United suggests.
It remains to be seen how much Augsburg can ask for Uduokhai with two years left for his agreement. The German defender could fit in with the ideas of Ten Hag at Old Trafford, although from the way things look, the German would be the fourth or fifth central midfielder chosen, at best, entering the new campaign.
