A large column of thick black smoke could be seen after a semi-trailer caught fire in an industrial area north of Saanich.
Officials have not confirmed any details, but many have reported seeing smoke in the area of MacDonald Park and Mills Roads, near the grounds of Victoria International Airport.
A witness told CHEK News that the fire appeared to have taken place in a semi-trailer docked at a business near Avenger Way.
He said it looked like the teams had destroyed most of the fire when he left the area around 6:30 p.m.
