Police attended Lang Crescent in Blackett at around 12.20am on Saturday following reports of an argument over noise.
Officers said several projectiles were thrown between two homes before a physical altercation allegedly took place.
A 35-year-old man was found with a head injury and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Two men, aged 19 and 35, were arrested and charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.
Both men were refused bail.
