South Sydney winger Alex Johnston scored a hat-trick for the second game in a row when the Rabbitohs beat the Titans 30-16.
After three tries in his last 44-18 victory over the Tigers, the South’s all-time leading scorer added another hat-trick to the Gold Coast to bring his 14-season lead to the league. after 14 rounds.
The win moved the Rabbitohs to sixth place on the NRL ladder, while the Titans fell to their ninth loss in 10 games.
The Rabbitoh winger presented his 150th attempt in the NRL, becoming the 15th player to achieve this feat.
South Sydney’s victory continues its dominance over the Gold Coast with its last defeat six years ago.
Enjoying a 12-4 lead at halftime, Johnston got his second right after the break when an error in midfield gave the Bunnies field position.
