NVIDIA RTX 4090 arrives first
For the next-generation GeForce series, NVIDIA is said to be launching its flagship model first.
According to recent rumors, the RTX 40 series will be released in mid-July. This date probably refers to the announcement, while each new SKU will have its own release date later. For new architectures, NVIDIA usually announces its graphics cards two weeks in advance, which means that the actual launch may take place in August.
Kopite7kimi claims that the launch schedule of the RTX 40 series is already confirmed and is not the same approach as the RTX 30 “Ampere”. Instead of focusing on the RTX 4080 series, NVIDIA would first launch its RTX 4090 badge.

Here’s a reminder that the RTX 3090, 3080, and 3070 were announced on the same day, but their release schedule was different. The RTX 3080 was the first card to be launched just two weeks after the announcement, followed by the RTX 3090 two weeks later. It took NVIDIA two months to launch its RTX 3070 graphics card after making that card official.
All rumored RTX 40 graphics cards based on the Ada architecture use different GPUs. NVIDIA reportedly focused its efforts on the AD102 GPU and the AD104 entered the testing phase very soon. This GPU will be used by the RTX 4070 GPU, according to the same filter. However, we haven’t heard anything about the entry of the AD103 into the testing phase yet, in fact, Kopite has been very reluctant to confirm any new information on this GPU specifically. Therefore, it could be assumed that NVIDIA will choose the GPU AD102 for this model.
