It would not be a jubilee without a traditional step, and this year’s airborne greeting is unlikely to disappoint aviation fans and British history.
On Thursday, 70 Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force planes will fly over Buckingham Palace under the watchful eye of the Queen and members of the Royal Family.
But if you can’t get to the mall, there will be plenty of opportunities to see the passing fly on the road.
Here’s what you need to know about where you can watch the Platinum Jubilee Pass and at what time.
How many planes will participate and which ones?
The full pass will feature 70 planes, more than three times the number of planes that took part in the Queen’s last birthday parade in central London in 2019.
The line-up will include the iconic red arrows and the historic commemorative flight of the Battle of Britain.
The show will feature Royal Navy helicopters and Army and RAF aircraft seen recently responding to events in Kabul and Ukraine and the coronavirus pandemic.

When is the flyover?
The passage on Thursday, June 2, 2022 will follow the Queen’s Birthday Parade, known as Trooping The Color, an exhibition of military shows featuring 1,500 officers and soldiers and 250 horses from the Home Division. British army in the parade of the horse guard.
What time is the step?
The passage is expected to fly over the balcony of Buckingham Palace at 1pm at 1,000 feet – 1,400 feet, but there will be opportunities to see them as they head towards London.
The test saw the plane begin in Wash, East Anglia, traveling over the North Sea, Southwold, parts of Suffolk and Southend. If you follow the same route, the people of Swaffham, Thetford and Colchester should look up at the sky around 12.45pm.
The plane will return to the skies of Kent, Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire after 1 p.m.

What if the weather is bad?
The pass is subject to weather conditions, but fortunately for pass enthusiasts, it looks like it is set for Thursday.
