MOSCOW – A Russian cargo ship was launched on Friday to deliver nearly three tons of supplies to the International Space Station crew.
A Soyuz rocket carrying the Progress MS-20 drone has departed as planned from the Russian-leased Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
The spacecraft reached preliminary orbit and deployed its solar arrays and navigation antennas en route to the space forward.
The boat is expected to dock at the station later Friday. It is delivering food, fuel and other supplies to the Station crew.
