Splatoon 3’s big Nintendo Direct just aired and it showed off a ton of good stuff. But perhaps the most exciting part is that you will be able to try these cool things very soon, in just a few weeks.
The World Premiere Splatfest will be similar to the Testfires held for Splatoon 1 and 2 in the past, where players will be able to participate in a Splatfest. Splatfests work a little differently in Splatoon 3, with two distinct phases: the first is the usual 4v4 turf war matches, but since there are now three teams instead of two, there will be a second phase where two players from each of the two losing teams will team up in a tricolor turf war to defeat the winning team of four. Obviously quite new and interesting! So it will be nice to get a chance to try them out before the game launches in September.
The Splatfest world premiere times and dates have been confirmed in Australia and are as follows:
Perth (AWST) Aug 28, 8:00am – Aug 28 8:00pm Adelaide/Darwin (ACST) Aug 28, 9:30am – August 28, 22:00 New Zealand (NZST) August 28, 12:00 pm – August 29, 00:00
You’ll also be able to download and stream some sections of the World Premiere app starting August 25.
