The blog’s winner, Sara Vale, “shocks” fans with real work

Sara Vale is easily one of The Block’s most memorable contestants, but there’s something about her that some people may not know.

Sara Vale is easily one of The Block’s most memorable contestants who has provided viewers with a lot of entertainment.

The 35-year-old and her husband Hayden won the show in 2018, pocketing an impressive $ 645,000 after selling her apartment for $ 3,020,000 on the day of the auction.

However, what many may not know is that the mother of two is a Virgin Australia flight attendant, often shocking passengers whenever they board one of their flights.

“I always get comments like,‘ I know you from somewhere ’or‘ You look familiar to me, ’” he told news.com.au.

“As I’m boarding the plane, there are some who approach me and ask for pictures; they’re usually fans of The Blog. ”

But in the same vein, there are many who recognize it from the Reno program.

The Melbourne-born TV star said there was a case where a crew member was left with a red face after some passengers asked him a question.

Sara said her colleague only knew her from TikTok with her profile that had recently exploded, attracting more than a million “likes” to her hilarious clips.

“In fact, it was a lot of fun,” he said. “He approached me while I was serving and said, ‘I just want to let you know that some passengers want to take a picture with you.’

“He assumed it was for my TikTok, but when I approached them, they said,‘ We love you The Blog. ‘ So I brought my partner and he was very surprised. Everyone started laughing. ”

Sara has been a flight attendant for 15 years, but was fired during the Covid pandemic.

“It actually worked in my favor because I spent more time at home with the kids,” he said.

Sara and Hayden share daughter 5-year-old Harlow and Lawson, 3, and announced she was pregnant with Lawson in 2018 on the show.

The then Bondi couple had injected the $ 645,000 in prize money to build the house of their dreams in Stanwell Park, a coastal village and northern suburb of Wollongong.

During confinement, Hayden, who is under construction, spent time working on his new home to which they moved after finally selling his Bondi pad.

In January 2021, Sara went back to work, but it didn’t last long with the second wave of restrictions.

“I went from taking one shift a day to raising it in March, where I was as busy as Covid has ever been,” he said.

“But when the second wave came in September we withdrew again.”

Aviation resumed towards the end of the year and since then Sara has said it has been busier than ever.

“My list is back full time, which is a maximum of 149 hours a week.”

Sara said it was during the pandemic when she had some free time at work that she got on the TikTok cart.

“I was doing two nights a couple of times a week and since we couldn’t get out of our hotel rooms I thought I would do a couple of TikToks,” he said.

Sara centers the clips around her experiences as a flight attendant, including some of the strange questions she is asked.

If you’re wondering what airline is wearing your uniform in the videos, it’s not real. Sara pretends to work with Oceanic Airlines, the name of a fictional airline used in several movies.

As for the best of her job, Sara said it depends on the crew members and all the people she knows.
