In a notice posted on its website, Alberta Parks says aggressive coyotes attacked a dog and a park user in an area south and west of the Parkland community.

Closing is maintained until further notice. It affects trails and surrounding areas of the park south of Parkland to Fish Creek, from the intersection of Parkside Green SE / Parkside Drive SE to Parkvista Crescent SE.

In addition to the enclosure, Alberta Parks reminds park users to keep their pets on a leash and less than two feet away at all times, to clean their pets and never feed coyotes.
