The creator of Return to Monkey Island realizes that most of the Internet is rubbish

Cool cool, the so-called “fans”.

The creator of Return to Monkey Island, Ron Gilbert, will no longer talk about the next game as a result of the toxic fans and the abuses that were thrown at him on the Internet.

Yes, we’ve been there too, Ron.

“I’m closing the comments. People are being bad and I have to delete the personal attack comments,” Gilbert wrote on his blog.

“It’s an incredible match and all the members of the team are very proud of it. Play it or not, but don’t ruin it for others, ”he continued. “I won’t post more about the game. The joy of sharing has taken me away.”

Fans have criticized the artistic style of Return to Monkey Island, a topic Gilbert has addressed in the past.

“It’s ironic that the people who don’t want me to make the game I want to make are some of the Monkey Island fans,” he said at the time. “And that’s what makes me sad with all the comments.”

We don’t have a specific release date yet, but we can expect Return to Monkey Island sometime in 2022 on Windows PC and Switch.
