Actress Bevin Prince’s husband, William Friend, died after being struck by lightning. He was 33 years old.
Friend died Sunday, according to the National Lightning Safety Council, while sailing near Masonboro Island in North Carolina. The WECT news station in Wilmington, North Carolina, reports that civilians called the Marine Police during a routine patrol. The EMT tried to resuscitate Friend for 20 minutes before he was pronounced dead.
Prince, who appeared as Bevin Mirskey in One Tree Hill from 2003 to 2012, has not yet publicly addressed the tragedy. The couple’s close friend, actress Odette Annable, posted an emotional tribute on Wednesday.
“Will, it feels surreal to write this. Especially because it looks like you’ve just started. The life and love you gave my best friend made us feel good that we were thousands of miles away. As I sit on your beautiful house., looking at the ocean, I keep thinking about what gift you gave Bevin, ”the Supergirl star shared.
“What a gift you gave to all who knew you to witness the passion that burned in your soul. The passion to help people, to build your business, to find happiness like I had never seen before of you living in North Carolina with Bevin.You were perfect for her in every way.You supported her dreams, you made her feel seen, you adored her with every piece of your soul and I will always be grateful to witness that kind of love, ”he continued.
Annable is with Prince in North Carolina.
“At just 33, you did it and you came out like no one in a blaze of glory. May you rest in peace, a charming, witty and beautiful Brit who loved America’s shit. I love it. You,” he added.
The prince and friend were married in 2016.
