The fire ban remains in effect in the metropolitan region.
The Sant Joan County Fire Department says that with the current conditions and upcoming forecasts, there is a high risk of fire due to the lack of abundant rain in contrast to the dry heat of the last two weeks.
The ban covers backyard fire pits, fireplaces, charcoal barbecues and open fires.
The fire department is also asking people to use caution when using propane fire pits and barbecues.
