An Ontario school has lifted the reception protocol after a bear was seen in the area on Tuesday morning.
It happened near Beaverton Public School, about 100 miles northeast of Toronto, in the Durham area.
The Durham District School Board said in a tweet that authorities were aware of the sighting.
The school doors remained closed while the protocol was in place, the board said.
In a tweet posted Tuesday afternoon, the board confirmed that the shelter protocol had been lifted in consultation with Durham police.
