The Street Fighter 6 list seems to have been leaked

An important part of the list of Street Fighter 6 fighters seems to have leaked online.

The detailed artwork for 22 characters was released online shortly after Capcom showed the first game trailer during Sony’s game status presentation on Thursday.

The original source of the leak is unknown (some reports suggest it was originally posted to 4chan before being shared on other forums), but the images can now be viewed on social media and forums such as ResetEra.

Street Fighter 6: announces the trailer

The list seems legitimate and, if so, confirms that the original eight “World Warriors” of Street Fighter II will star in Street Fighter 6.

Other returning characters include Cammy and Dee Jay from Super Street Fighter II, Akuma from Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Juri from Super Street Fighter IV and Ed and Rashid from Street Fighter V.

The new characters include a Mexican wrestler named Lily, an American wrestler named Kimberley, and a mysterious Chinese claw fighter named AKI.

Most of the new characters seen in the images fit with an apparent leak posted a few months ago, in which Reddit user DasVergeben described their appearances.

Capcom released the first game footage of Street Fighter 6 on Thursday night, confirming that the sequel will include a single-player adventure mode.

“Powered by Capcom’s patented RE engine, Street Fighter 6 spans three different game modes, including Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub,” Capcom said. “The experience also includes new innovative game features, as well as improved imaging for all aspects of the game.”

He added: “From iconic world warriors like Ryu and Chun-Li, to the latest addition to Street Fighter V Luke’s roster, and new expert breakdancer / drunk boxer Jamie, players will have a wide range of fighting styles and mastery skills. ”

VGC has contacted Capcom for a statement on the apparent leak.
