The WFH has returned when passengers were warned to get off the trains during the strikes

Train passengers will be warned not to travel unless absolutely necessary when this month’s strikes reduce British railways to part-time service.

Contingency plans include the total stoppage of passenger train travel before 7.30am or after 6.30pm during the three days of industrial action. Priority will be given to freight services transporting fuel and food so that the strike does not reach supermarket shelves or energy supply.

The industrial action will take place on June 21, 23 and 25, but it is likely that the entire network will be reduced to a skeleton service from June 21 to 26 due to the impact. A leading railway source said: “We are managing people’s expectations very firmly. Services will be extremely limited and we will need them.
