Two men arrested when emergency services sink Glasgow Street amid “ongoing incident”

Two men have been arrested following a “disturbance” in Glasgow this evening.

Mercy’s crews, including Scottish police and the Scottish ambulance service, got off at Deanston Drive in the Shawlands area of ​​the city at around 6.45pm.

According to eyewitnesses, there were at least nine vehicles and police officers attending.

It is also believed that a helicopter was circling.

An eyewitness said: “Two boys in separate wagons and a large knife were put in another police car.

“At least 9 vehicles. It all happened really fast.”

Another said, “The helicopter is now after at least half a dozen police officers.”

A third added: “That was an answer … I thought there had been some kind of serious accident.”

Two men, aged 36 and 40, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

It is understood that no one was injured in the event.

A Scottish police spokesman said: “Officers were called to report a disturbance on Deanston Drive, Glasgow at around 6.45pm on Monday 6 June 2022.

“No serious injuries were reported.

“Two men, aged 36 and 40, have been arrested and charged in connection.”
