Union Jack Jubilee Puzzle: 65% of people can’t detect the extra strip, right?

It’s a show we watch every day, but can you tell when there’s something wrong with the Union flag? To celebrate the platinum jubilee, a leading textile company has released a new set of ideas with Union Jack. The Platinum Jubilee game of ideas instructs players to detect which flag has an additional strip. It sounds easy, but about 65% of people are not able to solve it. Take a look at the image below. Can you detect the flag with an additional stripe?

Published by Prestigious Textiles, the fabric is available for June holiday celebrations, inspiring tablecloths, flags, pillows and party-themed accessories.

In fact, only 12% of people in the UK are said to have found the extra strip in 10 minutes, while almost a quarter (23%) solved the puzzle in less than 30 minutes.

“After creating the puzzles to have fun on social media, we found that the difficulty level has made it a real topic of conversation!” explains Nicola Brumfitt of Prestigious Textiles.

“We hope people can challenge their friends to find the added strip as soon as possible and that the design of Union Jack will inspire the hosts to create the final stage for the Jubilee.”

If you have decided to resign, you can see the answer in the puzzle below on the page. Need a clue? Look to the right of the image.

If you want to get into the spirit of the platinum jubilee, that’s it

If you’re looking for a sweet to celebrate platinum jubilee, you might want to try the official platinum pudding.

Lemon Swiss Roll and Amaretti Trifle were recently awarded the title of Platinum Pudding for the upcoming celebration.

With a Mary Berry jury, 31-year-old editor Jemma Melvin’s dessert was chosen over a four-nation pudding, a Victoria Bundt cake, and a passion fruit and thyme frangipane cake.

The dish will become part of the history of British cuisine, following in the footsteps of the classic Victoria Sponge and the popular Coronation Chicken sandwich.

The recipe includes a Swiss lemon curd roll, a delicious lemon cream, a thick tangerine coulis and a few drops of fresh cream.
