Urgent call to identify a woman after a serious accident on the A127 Southend

Officers are urgently seeking help to identify a woman struggling for her life after a serious accident.

The woman was involved in the accident with a bicycle and a car on the A127 at Cuckoo Corner in Southend this afternoon.

Police say they need witnesses to help identify the woman after the crash.

An Essex police spokesman said: “We urgently need information to help us identify a woman who was seriously injured in a collision on Friday 27 May in the afternoon.

“Our officers were called to the A127 in Southend, near the junction with Victoria Avenue, shortly after 2 p.m.

“The collision involved a car and a bicycle. The cyclist, a woman between 40 and 50 years old, was taken to hospital in danger of death.

“Despite numerous inquiries, we have not been able to identify her and now we are asking for help from the public.

“She is described as white, of slender complexion and with blond hair down to her shoulders. At the time of the collision, she was wearing a flowery dress.

“She was riding a black Carrera mountain bike. If you have any information, call us at 101 and quote the May 27 incident 603.”
