Australian shares could rise on Tuesday, despite Wall Street wavering ahead of another likely rate hike later this week.
At 7:00 AEST, ASX 200 futures were up 0.3%.
After a modest gain in early trading on Monday, the ASX 200 closed lower at 6,790.
In the US, the S&P 500 gained a modest 0.1%, while the Dow Jones gained 0.3%.
The Nasdaq lost 0.4 percent as tech companies including Apple and Google owner Alphabet prepared to report later this week.
All this came as a possible recession continued to loom.
