Show journalist Bev Lyons was one of the lucky people to see the actor.
He said, “It was great to see Johnny. He was very confident around him and didn’t say much, but he was very smiling and happy to meet some fans.”
Depp is scheduled to perform alongside Jeff Beck in a sold-out show at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall tonight.
The couple have already teamed up during shows in London, Sheffield and Newcastle.

The Hollywood star’s appearance in Glasgow comes just days after he won his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard on Wednesday.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star received $ 10 million (£ 8 million) in compensation and another $ 5 million (£ 4 million) in punitive damages from a jury yesterday.
The actor sued the Aquaman star for an article titled, “I spoke out against sexual violence and confronting the anger of our culture. That needs to change.”
The piece did not mention Johnny Depp by name, but his lawyers said it falsely implied that he physically and sexually abused Heard while they were together.
Heard also earned $ 2 million (£ 1.6 million) after the jury found she was defamed by a Depp lawyer when she described her allegations of abuse as misleading.
He chose not to hear the verdict in person and instead went out for a drink with Jeff and fellow musician Sam Fender in Newcastle.
