Long queues were reported at Toronto Pearson Airport on Thursday morning due to an “infrastructure outage” that affected WestJet.
A spokesman for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), Pearson’s operator, said there were long queues at Terminal 3 in connection with the problem with WestJet.
Some users on social media posted about the problem, with one person saying shortly before 8 a.m. that “the line runs the entire length of the terminal.”

At 11:45 a.m., WestJet said billing services across the country had been restored. The airline noted that self-service baggage downtime still had problems at some airports, but did not name Pearson.
“We continue to encourage guests to arrive early and check the status of their flight before going to the airport,” the airline said.

In a statement sent to Global News Thursday earlier, WestJet said “an infrastructure outage” was affecting the airline’s airport check-in, flight planning and payment on its website.
Computer interruption update: @ WestJet’s billing services across the country have been restored.
Self-service baggage delivery continues to have problems in Calgary, Ottawa, Saskatoon and Halifax.
Guests are advised to arrive early and check the status of the flight before going to the airport.
